Understanding Your Menstrual Cycle
Your menstrual cycle is more than just your period. Learn about all four phases to optimize your health, energy, and planning.
Menstrual Phase (Days 1-5)
Your period begins
The uterine lining sheds, marking day 1 of your cycle. Hormone levels are at their lowest. Focus on rest and gentle movement.
Follicular Phase (Days 1-13)
Energy begins to rise
Estrogen rises as follicles develop in the ovaries. Energy and mood typically improve. Great time for new projects.
Ovulation (Day 14)
Peak fertility
A mature egg is released. This is your most fertile time. Energy and confidence are typically at their highest.
Luteal Phase (Days 15-28)
Preparing for the next cycle
Progesterone rises to prepare the uterus. If conception doesn't occur, hormone levels drop and the cycle restarts.
